Orphanage / Adoption Ministry

Operation Serve opens doors to the hundreds of orphanages in need of
|medicine, clothes, equipment, food and staff. Your Church or Organization
can have its own ministry in one of these orphanages with work projects,
youth trips, and providing the needed resources.

Operation Adoption enables T.E.A.R.S. to assist in placing children from the
orphanages in homes in North America through the adoption agency.

Operation S.T.O.P. (Safe Transition of Orphans Project) is a shelter and job
training ministry for older teens who must leave orphanages by Law at
age 17 and go live on the streets with no skills or hope.

Social Workers from the Province of Ontario team up with Mission of T.E.A.R.S in Moscow to dialogue with The Russian Federation Ministry of Education, Orphanage directors and Legal Department for Children Services.

Mission of T.E.A.R.S. partners with Christian orphanages in Russia. Our S.T.O.P. Program prepares the Russian children during their transition from broken homes to newly approved Russian adoptive families. The transitional Program is funded in part by private donations from within Russia. The funding provides children with medical care, food and clothing. Orphanages give 24 hour care 7 days a week to each child. The children are brought into care by police officers and social workers. Director, Tatyana, helps the children in her care by addressing psychological traumas enabling each child to help rebuild what they have lost. Russian Pastors and churches along with their families provide spiritual nurturing to help restore and heal.

Katya, 5, and her brother Gedo, 6, were brought into the care of the orphanage. Gedo was found, by his neighbor, looking for food to feed his little sister after they were abandoned by their parents. It is unknown how long they were left on their own. Since being at the orphanage they have been nurtured and have begun to smile. Katya and Gedo spend time playing together and are often seen holding hands.

Rev. Gordon Lewis hands out clothes and toys which have been donated or funded for by Canadians to the children in the orphanage.

Sonya, 8, and Valery, 6, are good friends who met after arriving at the orphanage. They enjoy playing family with her doll, Melody. This child play is encouraged by orphanage staff and child psychologists. Both children are in care due to family breakdown.
